Book Club 2020 – July Book

Book Club 2020 – July Book

And summer has arrived. And this is how ice creams slowly appear, the sunsets become a little more special, the distances a little shorter and the emotions a little more intense.

Somewhere between all the changes, make their first appearance those who want to read at least one book all year round, but never find the right time in their daily lives, except in summer. They are the ones who have a book in every summer bag and maybe more than one. You will see them reading on the balcony at lunchtime, or with morning coffee, outside in a shop, or in the afternoon alongside the sunset or maybe under a tree or on a bench. Now there is both time and place. The excitement is usually great and lasts even after the holidays, bringing a little summer warmth even on the heaviest days of winter.

There are those who recognize the world of books, but rarely visit it. It is these books that are always half-read, forgotten and mostly dusty. They are not sure about the type, the time, the mood. They are the ones who will mechanically throw a book in the suitcase and maybe read it while sunbathing. The book shares its' time with sunbathing. And if they let the book captivate them, and they usually do, then the holidays become a little more exciting, a little more enjoyable. The most beautiful memories are created, accompanied by the most beautiful emotions. Usually after the end of the book and the end of the holidays, everything is a beautiful memory, until next summer.

The magic of books lies in the diversity of people. From the way they read, how they feel, who they are. After all, people are like books. Special story, unique cover, one or more kinds. There is always the right one for everyone, as long as he discovers it!

So the book for this month is a special poetry collection, a book printed by the people who create art themselves. The seventh book for the Book Club 2020 and the month of July that we propose to you is called "Poiitiki Pleusi", published by the Philological House of Piraeus. Because what is more beautiful than summer poetry? Where sunsets become a little more magical, the mind is lost more freely and fewer words reveal a deeper meaning.

In the book you will find published a sample of the poems of our Mrs. Peristera Voulgaraki, as well as 22 other remarkable poets of ''Philologiki Stegi of Peiraieus'' who have contributed to the writing with emotion and dream. The book can be obtained during the opening hours of "Stegi".
