📚April Book or in other words Will - "The Executioner of Love" by Irvin Yalom.
The book that accompanied us in the month of April, found us alongside with the World Book Day. Shortly before its completion and as we were celebrating the existence of the books, it made us wonder about our own existence. His preface raises the following small but not simple question over and over again: "What do you want;"
Along with your own search for what you want, what you have and what you dream of, Irvin Yalom presents ten stories of psychotherapy and the personal search of everyone in their life. Through simple, everyday things with psychotherapy as an ally, one discovers that at our core, we all have common needs and fears, disguised as different wants. The need for acceptance, freedom, love, the fear of death, loneliness and the fact that we will all face a crisis, a loss.
In a magical way, where you do not expect it, you come to recognize something of your own within each story. There you will focus with interest, you will touch it carefully and with care, you may get scared, but you will wonder and you will remain til the end. You will destigmatize and others and yourself, you will get inspired, you will get troubled, and then you will put yourself as the protagonist. And think about what you will discover when you decide to unfold your own story…
A book that pushes BookTherapy2021, to become even more therapeutic, not only for the patients, but also for the therapists. For everyone.After all, we are all together in this. As Carl Yung used to say: "Learn all the theories, get acquainted with all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be yet another human soul.”
So have you ever wondered? What do you truly want;
